Elizabeth Rains taught journalism and magazine writing at Langara College and Capilano University. She currently teaches editing at Simon Fraser University. Her feature articles have appeared in magazines and newspapers in Canada, the U.S., and Ireland. She is the author of The Vancouver Parents Survival Guide (Brighouse Press). Her memoir The Demon in my Blood will be published by Greystone Books in spring 2017.
Her company, Cove Media, works with authors on book proposals and book marketing. Elizabeth’s specialty is writing stories about people that she knits into socially significant topics. She has won three writing awards.
She has been a reporter for the Vancouver Sun, an editor for Canada Wide Media, the managing editor of The Capilano Review, and the editorial director and publisher of Pacific Rim Magazine.
