*Quirky, Tasty & UniQue: Festive Sale
Dec. 10 & 11
This amazing event is about community and making things by hand during a very over-commercialized season. If this feels right, you are SO welcome to be involved. If you have doubts this may not be your venue.
We only accept hand made and some carefully selected vintage items. Over 500 people come through the sale during the weekend because of our unique spirit.
How much can you bring?
This depends…. if it fills up your van, maybe that is too much. But make sure what you drop off comes in a labeled box so we can keep adding to the room throughout the weekend. Space is limited and we try our very best to make sure everything can be seen. If you have 20 of the same items, we may only put out 10 with constant restocking through out the day. There is no formula to this process; it has developed over the years of attention and love of the season.
How does this Festive pop up shop and trunk sale work?
A vendor drops off their merchandise on Friday, Dec 9th at the Arts Building (all pieces priced and securely tagged with your initials). We cannot sell anything that is not tagged properly.
Submit 2 copies of your inventory/price list in print. The Arts Building will take 15% of your total sales.
Here is the Bonus! Vendors do not have to be there for the whole 2 day fair, but please contribute 2 hours of volunteering for set-up, clean-up or restocking during the event. Our volunteer coordinator, Trisha, will contact you.
We ask all vendors to donate something to be sold in the cafe or a piece of work for the raffle basket. The cafe will be open over the weekend with tasty treats. All proceeds go to the Arts Building.
All the Artists return after 6pm on Sunday to pack up and remove all their work.
You can pick up a cheque the following Wednesday, Dec 15th or Thursday Dec 16th in the evening. (We are giving ourselves a few days to make sure everything is properly accounted for; a schedule will be arranged.) The Arts Building will take 15% of your total sales. Please tally your own sales against unsold inventory so we can reconcile with our records.
Thank you from the Arts Building folks (we are ALL volunteers at this non-profit society) and this year’s coordinator Bronwen Payerle and chief decorator Sandy Buck.
